Electrical Installation Condition Reports

An Electrical installation condition report (EICR) will look at your fixed electrics and find out the following:

• If any electrical circuits or equipment is overloaded

• Identify any defective electrical work or poor fixtures and fittings

• Any potential electric shock risks and/or fire hazards

 

What we test: 

• The adequacy of the earthing and bonding

• Devices for protection against fire and electric shock

• Any damage or wear and tear that might affect the safety of the property's inhabitants

• Identification of any damaged electrical fittings and accessories

• Identification of any exposed live wires that could cause a fire or injury
   

Once we’ve carried out the inspection we’ll provide you with a report which numbers all the electrical observations and give each one a recommendation code. The observations describe a defect or omission within the electrical installation and its severity. You would then be able to take this report to source competitive quotes for the works recommended, or we can provide a quote to carry out any remedial work.
